Would you seek help for a loan modification?
I’m thinking about starting a document prep service that assists homeowners in getting their loan modification together to submit. I have seen what those loan mod firms & attorneys charge! What do you think of this type of service offered?
I wouldn’t use any company that charges an up front fee
And furthermore, I wouldn’t even bother using anyone to fill out forms that I can fill out, and negotiate with my bank since I can do that.
I don’t know why people think they need someone to do this for them. They need to save the $2500 or more fee and use it to pay their darn mortgage!!
I wouldn’t use your service, but I am sure there are plenty of naive people out there who think they need someone else to do their legwork for them.
in the past year some companies have gotten away with overcharging people who are already having trouble paying thier mortgage. NOW there is finally some gov’t regulation being rolled out. I work in sales for a mortgage company and we have a mod dept. and they charge but if they dont get it done they give 100% refund to the client.
